ASPAPEL Award for the best academic record 2020-2021

Jordi Vilarrubias, has received the award sponsored by ASPAPEL for the best record 2020-2021 of the University Master's Degree in Paper and Graphic Technology of the UPC-ESEIAAT.

The award was presented by Elisabet Alier, president of ASPAPEL, during the graduation ceremony of the  engineers of the various degrees of the ESEIAAT in Terrassa, who were sponsored by Carme Ruscalleda, on November 19 at the Terrasa Fairgrounds. 

ASPAPEL, formed by 50 companies that account for more than 90% of the sector's production in Spain, maintains a scholarship-salary program for its companies to promote specialized studies in paper technology, in order to provide qualified professionals to this industry. 

The scholarships-salary have a double function: on the one hand, the students can pay the price of the enrollment and help pay for their stay in Terrassa and, on the other, it includes the remuneration for the tasks carried out during the internship and / or the final master's thesis that they will carry out in the company that finances them. Jordi Vilarrubias has been one of the beneficiaries of this scholarship-salary bag in the 2020-2021 academic year.

 The circular pulp and paper bioindustry is the engine of a powerful value chain that accounts for 18.5% of industrial employment. 

Innovation and sustainability are the two basic characteristics of a sector in permanent technological renewal, which offers qualified employment and great possibilities for professional development.
